The 20 best films for children: plus clips – Times Online

Blech! I’m not sure what they qualify as “children” – but they did not really hit the best movies (in my humble opinion) for kids. There are some BAD choices in there. And weird age groupings for such a title.

Hooray! It’s always exciting to find like-minded individuals who share my strong feeling that the Muppet Movie was one of the greatest films ever made. I’m even a little guilty of forcing it onto my own kids at slightly too-early of an age (2 and 4). They couldn’t quite follow the plot, but they sure got a kick out of Dad singing all the songs.

    Awesome lists Izzy!
That Times Online list was truly horrendous.

I’ve got to say, though, I’d have to add Princess Bride to your non-cartoon list, and at *least* one Miyazaki film to your Animated category :b

You are correct about The Princess Bride. I totally just added it. I don’t know why that slipped my mind, since I obsess about it, lol. THANKS SARA!
